Similar to Facebook's Wall, this is where you add comments from the point of view of the characters in Macbeth. Most comments should be about content; however, you may poke a character, create a group for a character, or respond to another person's comment. When you add your comments, please keep these points in mind:
- Be character specific. Ex: Macbeth says: or Macbeth is...
- Keep in character.
- Draw inferences, but do mot make up "stuff" just to post.
- No one "owns" a character.
- Have fun, but don't be foolish.
- Be kind.
- KISA. I will be monitoring your posts.
- This is not a social networking site for you to communicate with your friends.
Friends
Compare this section to the Profile section on a social networking site. However, rather than creating your profile, create profiles for each of the characters listed. As we read and discuss the play, add comments that reveal the following about the characters: motivations, flaws, personalities, conflicts, etc. Naturally, some profiles will be more detailed than others. When we finish the play, you should be able to use these profiles to write a character analysis.
Q & A
Post questions that arise as we read and discuss Macbeth. Even if a question has been posed and answered in class, if you need more clarification, post it and see what ensues. Anyone may respond to the questions. However, I will check in daily to add responses.
Survey
Click on the survey link to take the survey. No names are collected, so no one, not even me, will know how you respond. However, please let me know when you take the survey so I will know when to close it and collect the results.
Notes
List important events and facts from the play in this section, especially those things you might be tested on. For example: the witches prophesy to Macbeth two times. Write their prophecies here.
As we read the play, I will post at least one poll for you to participate in. I will notify you when it is ready. Also, I reserve the right to add other "activities" to our blog, anything to enhance your understanding of the play.
